Don Coqui Edgewater is very proud to announce Chef Ricardo Cardona as the Executive Chef.
Known as the leading chef in Latin Cuisine. Early in his career, Chef Cardona seasoned himself in the culinary arts working for leading brands such as Disney Land and Ritz Carlton Hotel. An avid lover of baseball, he is proud to cook for the New York Yankees and visiting teams at Yankee Stadium during the baseball season. He is currently and has been the chef Marc Anthony for over 12 years.
His cuisine has delighted such luminaries as Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, Sofia Vergara, Al Pacino, Ricky Martin, Whoopi Goldberg, Roselyn Sánchez, Dayanara Torres, Romeo Santos and the legendary Rita Moreno. In addition he has cooked for the New York Knick’s basketball team as well as the New York Giants football team.
A Jame Beard Foundation Award Winner also known as the “oscars” of the food world, Ricardo has had the honor to be a guest chef for Le Cordon Bleu and Cipriani. He has also shared his expertise and creative talent on the popular cooking competition show, “Chopped”, and as one of the chefs helping struggling restaurateurs on “Mission Menu” on TLC International/NuVo TV. He continues to make appearances on numerous prime time shows and channels including Good Morning America, Despierta America!, FOX, WPIX 11 and most recently OWN.
